Work With Us
Making transformative change requires collaboration and mutual care. A key part of our mission is to connect Austin parents and families with the many educational, service, and advocacy opportunities around climate and environmental justice that are already happening in our city.

The Parents’ Climate Community has become a clear moral leader and change-maker in our community at a time when we needed it the most. – Adam Greenfield, Rethink35 founder & PCC partner
2024 Featured Partnerships
Since 2022, we’ve been partnering with Rethink35 to oppose the I-35 expansion through the heart of Austin. Our advocacy has focused on the expansion’s climate legacy and children’s health impacts. We filmed a short documentary highlighting caregiver and youth perspectives on the highway; brought families to the largest freeway rally in Texas history; and joined the federal lawsuit to stop the expansion.
In Summer 2024, we partnered with Frontline Community Partnerships for Climate Justice, a research team with UT’s Planet Texas 2050 challenge, to create two in-person workshops on PhotoVoice, an easy-to-use research and advocacy tool that centers youth and community voices on environmental and climate justice. In Fall 2024, we launched a series of video tutorials on PhotoVoice to make this tool easily available to caregivers and organizers, in Austin and beyond.
In Fall 2024, we worked with Texas Sierra Club and Creative Action to engage hundreds of Austinites in an intergenerational art build advocating for clean energy solutions, rather than a new gas plant, ahead of a City Council vote in December. Our 12-foot tall sun puppet made its debut at a rally outside City Hall on Nov. 19, 2024.
